Bernard H. Greenberg, Esq., Founder and Managing Attorney

Bernard H. Greenberg, a native of Denver, Colorado, is a lawyer in his 31st year of legal practice. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado, before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, the Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit of the United States, and the United States Tax Court. 

Mr. Greenberg received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver College of Law. Prior to the formation of his own law firm, B. H. Greenberg & Associates, he was a partner with the law firm of Gordon, Tauger & Radetsky, a partner with the law firm of Greenberg & Guttenberg, and a member of the firm of Esperti, Elrod & Wills. Mr. Greenberg has been a  member for over twenty seven  years of the Denver Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association and American Bar Association. He has served on numerous sections and committees for these bar associations, and he is currently a member of the Section on Trust and Estates of  the Colorado Bar Association. 

Mr. Greenberg is active in the community, and he lectures frequently to a variety of industries, professional groups and general consumers on the subjects of business and estate planning. He authors regular columns on financial and estate planning topics in two regional newspapers, The Highlander and The Douglas County News Press. He has published articles in the Colorado Association of Life Underwriters Journal, The Douglas County News Press; The Highlands Ranch Herald; The Highlands Ranch Register, The Denver Post, The Rocky Mountain News, Lakewood Magazine, Senior Edition, MDRT Magazine, Life Notes and Special People of the World, (a publication for persons who have suffered catastrophic loss). He has also authored a book on estate planning entitled:  LIFE PLANNING - A Loving Approach to Estate Planning

Mr. Greenberg is active in the charitable community and has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of the National MS Society, Colorado Chapter; the Speaker's Bureau and  Chairman of the Special Events Committee of the National MS Society’s Colorado Chapter; chairman of the Planned Giving Committee of the National MS Society, Colorado Chapter; a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation; and as a member of the Board of Directors for Ronald McDonald Children's Charities of Colorado. He was honored with  the 1995 MS Achievement Award by the National MS Society, Colorado Chapter for his accomplishments in the fight against multiple sclerosis. He has also served as a member of the Shared Decision Council for Northridge Elementary School in Highlands Ranch, Colorado.   Mr. Greenberg also advises charitable organizations and clients about structuring charitable gifts for estate and tax planning purposes.   Mr. Greenberg also founded and directs the Highlands Ranch Cycling Club, one of the largest cycling clubs in Colorado.

Mr. Greenberg is the editor and publisher of The Client Update Letter, Life Planning,  and The Advisor Update Letter, tax, estate, and business planning newsletters for clients, professionals and business people. In addition to authoring numerous articles on business and estate planning, he teaches courses for continuing education credit on these subjects. Mr. Greenberg has appeared regularly on a national radio show on financial and estate planning, called "Financial Forum." The show was broadcast to the entire North-American continent. 

Mr. Greenberg is a member of the DENVER ESTATE PLANNING COUNCIL, THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ESTATE PLANNERS, THE COLORADO BAR ASSOCIATION’S SECTION ON TRUSTS  AND TRUST LAW, and a member of several estate and tax planning study groups. He was a featured speaker at the 1988 Million Dollar Round Table Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Mr. Greenberg is the founder of THE AMERICAN LIFE PLANNING INSTITUTE, an organization which designs and presents seminars and publications designed to explain the Life Planning approach to business and estate planning.
